Key Responsibilities:
Strengths-Based Support: Deliver personalized, responsive, and flexible services for children and families, ensuring adherence to program guidelines.
Assessment and Planning: Conduct functional assessments and developmental screenings to identify suitable support options. Work closely with families to create and implement tailored plans.
Capacity Building: Empower families, carers, and professionals by building their knowledge, skills, and confidence to support children in learning new skills in everyday settings.
Inclusion Facilitation: Actively promote and facilitate the inclusion of children in community and mainstream environments.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of conversations, developmental information, goals, and outcomes in the NDIA business system, following the NDIS Performance Management Framework.
NDIS Plan Assistance: Support families in applying for and implementing funded NDIS plans when applicable.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background: Degree in Early Childhood, Teaching, Social Work, or Behaviour Support.
Time Management: Outstanding ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines and KPIs.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Relationship Building: Strong ability to build rapport and develop respectful relationships with families and children.
Intervention Planning: Proficiency in planning group and individual interventions for children with disabilities or developmental delays.
Emotional Intelligence: High level of emotional intelligence, personal resilience, and tenacity.
Technical Skills: Advanced computer literacy.
NDIS Onboarding: Clearance of NDIS onboarding documents before commencement.
Travel: Ability to travel between office locations and within the service area to meet with families and community services.
