About you:
Delta Group are seeking an experienced Earthmoving Field Service Mechanic.
As a Field Service Mechanic for our Delta Group, you will be required to service and maintain a wide range of late model heavy plant and equipment. The role requires travel across the state of Victoria to service Delta plant and equipment at various project sites.
You will have a strong service background in mechanical maintenance, specialising in heavy earth moving equipment. A background in construction and experience with Hitachi, Yanmar, Mustang, Cat, Komatsu and/or Volvo plant would be advantageous.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Perform routine maintenance on earthmoving equipment and attachments.
- Minor and major repairs on earthmoving equipment and attachments.
- Attend breakdowns on site.
- Trouble shooting and fault repairs.
- Be enthusiastic punctual and take pride in appearance and work.
To succeed in this role you will have a range of skills and attributes, including:
ESSENTIAL
- Passion for people and their safety.
- Permanent residency.
- Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test if required.
- A trade qualification in Heavy Plant Mechanics.
- Experience in Field Service environments, particularly construction sites.
- The ability to work efficiently and maintain high quality workmanship.
DESIRABLE
- Demonstrated communication skills – verbal and written.
- Proven capacity to multi-task.
- High level decision making and problem solving skills
- Basic level proficiency in most Microsoft Office 365 packages with a strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise and follow up.
