We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Mechanic to join our team at our Coffs Harbour location. Our company specializes in sales and service of earthmoving equipment, providing top-quality maintenance and repair solutions.
Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance: Perform routine servicing on mobile plant machinery, identifying potential issues and recommending necessary repairs to prevent breakdowns.
Repairs and Diagnosis: Conduct breakdown repairs, diagnose faults, and provide detailed repair requirements for accurate quoting on hydraulic, electronics, pneumatics, fuel systems, air conditioning and Power Train.
Pre-Delivery Checks: Complete pre-delivery inspections and assembly on new plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance as per the customers specifications.
Process Improvement: Offer feedback on systems and processes to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness.
Client Interaction: Collaborate with staff, maintain courteous client interactions, and identify business opportunities during site visits.
Training and Development: Willingness to undergo additional training as required by the company to service a range of plant equipment.
Teamwork and Support: Foster a positive work environment, demonstrate respect for team members, and provide assistance when needed.
Requirements:
- 3+ years Field Service Experience - Desirable
- Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology or Similar (e.g. Heavy Vehicle) – Essential
- Ability to lift up to 25kg; safe lifting methods provided.
- Flexibility for overtime and late call-outs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and client-centric approach.
- Welding and steel working skills are advantageous.
