WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking to hire a full-time eCommerce Operations Manager to work onsite at our Port Melbourne warehouse from Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm. There will be some periods of the year (usually through November & December) where overtime will be required, we will always provide sufficient notice when this will be necessary. 

Your main responsibility will be to manage the end-to-end eComm operation for our ANZ online store whilst also managing a small team and ensuring that, as a team, you're meeting high standards and attention to detail is consistently maintained. Autonomy, initiative and a desire to work hard as part of a small, close-knit team is a must!

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the E-Commerce Picking-Packing team 
  • Oversees all the online order fulfillment and retail order shipment processes and ensures that these orders are processed in accordance with the organization's customer service and quality standards. Filling an average of 1000 orders a day
  • Partner with temporary staffing agencies to support high peak periods and demands
  • Look for ways to optimize processes, driving costs containment and ensuring stock is at appropriate levels
  • Optimize picking, packing, inventory management and shipment processes and strategies
  • Drive cost improvement activities by identifying system improvements, inventory management, headcount optimization, and improved square footage utilization
  • Maintain solid inventory levels and control processes and procedures
  • Management of all on-site staff including hiring and onboarding, training, and mentoring of the team to be highly functional and effective
  • Optimize warehouse processes by allocating warehouse team members to the appropriate tasks based on online orders
  • Set clear and measurable objectives for the team; assess and support each to develop their functional and interpersonal skills

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to navigate between several modules/programs
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word etc. 
  • 2+ years of people management and/or leadership experience is required
  • Relevant education OR equivalent work experience in warehouse, inventory management, fulfillment is an asset
