We are a family owned enterprise that operates in the B2B market ~ manufacturing & importing, marketing & selling, distributing & supplying our amazing products to over 700+ Retailers Australia wide.
OLÉ Mexican Foods has been driven by a passion to create great food for generations. Started in 1988 when the company's founder, Veronica Moreno, began making and selling authentic tortillas, based on family recipes from her native Mexico in her new home of Atalanta, Georgia USA.
To this day our La Banderita tortillas still use traditional ingredients and techniques handed down for generations. And we've never lost sight of the importance of creating great foods that bring families together at the table. OLÉ Mexican Foods is today the largest privately owned tortilla manufacturer in the USA, and now La Banderita has grown to be Australia's favourite premium tortilla as well!

About the Role
We're searching for a talented, dynamic, economics analyst with a passion for import and inventory control management, to join our finance team and make a significant impact in our organization's strategic decision-making process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive economic analyses to identify market trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock level strategies.
- Utilize advanced statistical methods and economic models to assess the impact of import regulations, tariffs, and trade policies on our business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective inventory control strategies, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing carrying costs.
- Generate actionable insights and recommendations through data-driven analyses to drive continuous improvement in import and inventory management processes.
- Stay informed about global economic trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes relevant to our business operations
- Collaborating closely with senior leaders and assumption owners to drive strong functional integration.
Requirements
We're looking for candidates with the following Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in economic analysis, preferably in a small to medium sized enterprise.
- Strong understanding of import/export processes and regulations, with hands-on experience in import documentation and customs clearance procedures.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SalesForce) for data manipulation and modeling for inventory control and stick leverl forecasting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex economic concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Subject matter expert in building, using, and amending Excel based economic models to conduct economic analysis, with at least 2 - 5 years' experience in similar roles.
