Regional Development Australia Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island (RDA AHFKI) is the region's lead Economic Development agency. Funded by all three levels of government, RDA AHFKI is committed to developing the region's economy and liveability. We focus on four key themes;

RDA AHFKI operate out of attractive offices in Strathalbyn, however our real office encompasses all corners of a diverse and beautiful region. We are an award-winning, highly effective and strong team that offers workplace flexibility including ability to work from home.

Reporting to the Director, the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Proactively engaging with federal and state government departments, councils, industry groups, businesses and community
  • Developing, implementing and managing programs and projects
  • Representing the organisation and providing high levels of service
  • Extensive networking and relationship management.

To join our team, you will have:

  • At least 5 years' experience in Economic Development or equivalent
  • A sound understanding of the role of Economic Development in regional Australia
  • Proven ability with research and analysis
  • Wide and varied experiences working with industry, individual businesses, community and government
  • Grant writing skills and experience (desirable)
  • Managing and/or advising businesses (desirable)
  • Sound skills in the MS Office suite, CRM's and online collaboration tools

The successful candidate will be an Australian Certified Economic Developer (ACEcD) or willing to acquire certification. You will have exceptional communication, both written and verbal, and be confident to initiate, develop and manage stakeholder relationships.

This role requires extensive travel within the region and to Adelaide, including out of hours, and some overnight stays (such as regular trips to Kangaroo Island) and will suit a results focused, highly motivated individual.

An attractive salary will be offered in the range of $90,000 to $110,000 plus Super plus vehicle with personal use (or vehicle allowance) and work from home flexibility. Part-time will be considered.
