We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Economic Development and Visitor Economy Team. As our Economic Development Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving economic growth and prosperity within our community.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Be the first point of contact for new and existing businesses within the City of PAE.
- Proactively engage and build relationships with the City’s business, industry and economic partners.
- Assist in implementing council’s Economic Development strategic directions and actions.
- Deliver events and workshops that respond to local business needs.
- Assist in the collection of data, research and analysis, develop reports and undertake presentations on the state of the local Port Adelaide Enfield economy.
- Assist businesses to negotiate Council's services and processes through working closely with various Departments in Council.
The successful applicant will have:
- Extensive knowledge of issues facing small business, manufacturing, tourism, retail and emerging sectors in the context of Northern and Western Adelaide.
- Highly developed communication skills, with capacity to influence and work with businesses, internal departments and Government Agencies including liaison with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience in undertaking research and providing recommendations.
- High level understanding and experience in business attraction, growth and support.

This is a Level 5 position which has a current salary range of $100,784 - $105,336 per annum (plus superannuation).
