The Position
We invite applications from inspired and proactive Economic Teachers. This is a part time (0.8FTE), fixed term position commencing Term 2, 2024 until the end of the year with the potential to become ongoing. Reporting to the Head of Commerce, the successful candidate will be able to deliver high-quality instruction in VCE Economics to students in Year 12, 10 and 9.
Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of curriculum content, be able to use technology to support your teaching and understand the individual learning needs of students and develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- A strong background in teaching economics, and related subjects.
- Competent in VCE Economics curriculum and assessment criteria.
- Able to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Our teachers are expected to participate in and support our commitment to our students to ensure they have a well-rounded school experience encompassing curriculum, co-curricular and pastoral care in addition to participating in our sporting program through coaching and managing sport teams.
