**Anaesthetic Nurse**
As an Anaesthetic Nurse, you’ll play a crucial role in administering anaesthesia and supporting patients throughout their surgical experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist anaesthetists in preparing patients for surgery, including administering pre-operative medications and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
- Monitor patient’s vital signs and responses to anaesthesia during surgical procedures, adjusting anaesthetic levels as necessary.
- Provide continuous support to patients throughout the anaesthesia process, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to maintain a sterile environment and assist with patient positioning as needed.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and comprehensively.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Postgrad in Perioperative or Anaesthetic nursing
- AHPRA registered
- BLS
- Demonstrated strong clinical skills
- Full working rights within Australia
- Valid Police Check
- Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
- Cultural competency
Desirable Skills
- Venepuncture and cannulation experience
- Holds resus cert
