About the role
We are seeking a full time Diesel Mechanic to join our Maintenance Teams at Eden site. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor with the primary responsibility to ensure that the production related mobile plant and equipment maintenance functions are performed in accordance with all statutory obligations, manufacturer's recommendations, and company standards, and in a manner that minimises any potential downtime.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diesel mechanical maintenance
- Breakdown diagnostics and repair
- Preventative maintenance
- Assisting with the maintenance and repair of a range of production equipment such as heavy and light mobile plant, processing equipment, material transfer equipment and general yard equipment
- Responding to breakdowns and call outs
- Qualified Trade Certificate in a related area is essential.
- Current and valid motor vehicle driver’s licence.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated
- Work within all safety systems, follow Safe Operating Procedures and using hazard identification and risk management techniques.
- Ensure all work is performed to compliance standards.
- A great work ethic and be a team player.
- Extensive experience in a related industry will be well regarded.
