You will play a crucial role as an Education Delivery Support Officer at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, ensuring the seamless delivery and quality assurance of teaching and learning. Collaborating with various stakeholders including the Mathematics and Statistics Learning Centre (MSLC), academics, students, and Academic Support Officers, you will oversee a wide range of responsibilities. Your tasks will include coordinating administrative duties, offering guidance on policies and procedures, managing timetables, recruitment, exams, results, and finance. As a vital link between the MSLC, academics, ASOs, and students, you will facilitate effective communication and operational efficiency within the educational environment.Your responsibilities will include:
- Act as a central point of contact for the MSLC and work alongside Academic Support Officers to address enquiries from academics, students and visitors in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide high-quality administrative support to the MSLC and academic staff by maintaining noticeboards, scheduling and distributing materials for meetings, coordinating printing and distribution of teaching materials, maintaining MSLC pages on the LMS and website, and updating the school's subject repository.
- Support MSLC staff in the employment of tutors including budgeting, administering recruitment, the creation of casual contracts, rostering work and keeping tutors informed.
- Provide financial support to the MSLC and subject coordinators by managing credit card and expense reconciliation, student reimbursements and Purchase Orders (invoicing).
- Support the delivery of online bridging courses by managing enrolments, fees and issuing certificates.
- Work with academics to timetable subjects, align class availability with enrolment numbers and assist students with timetable clashes.
You will possess excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with adept stakeholder engagement skills, ensuring the delivery of precise and effective information.You will also have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification, and experience within an academic administrative role, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience, education and/or training.
- High-level interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and work effectively with a range of people across all levels of the organisation and the capacity to initiate and build strong working relationships with academic and professional staff from across the University
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously but also as a member of a team, working closely with stakeholders and initiating dialogues with relevant stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and provide advice on established policies and procedures including the ability to recognise when further advice from or referral to more senior staff is required.
