Base Salary, HEO6 $95,860 - $103,341 p.a. + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Faculty of Engineering are welcoming applications for an Education Design Support Officer to join their team and support the Faculty in adopting innovations in E-Learning, identifying, implementing new technologies, and developing Education Designs to improve learning outcomes that enhance the student learning experience.
Working closely with academics and teaching staff, the successful candidate will be expected to play a supporting role in providing practical solutions, delivering tools and resources as well as developing innovative online multimedia resources.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
provide support and advice to academic and teaching staff on the effective use of educational and multimedia technologies across various programs of study in the Faculty
provide technical expertise and support to the work area in the creation and development of educational resources
liaise and establish effective working relationships with key staff to ensure that the work area’s specialist education support needs are met
support the development of materials for a program of study or range of subjects and ensure copyright compliance.
About you

experience in designing, developing, maintaining sustainable learner-facing unit of study websites using an Learner Management System, such as Canvas and SEAMS tools
experience delivering education programmes, preferably in a tertiary education environment
a strong knowledge of University policies and procedures and administrative processes
excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, coupled with strong communication skills.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
