About the role
The Education Support Assistant will work in our Senior School under the direction of the Head of Individual Differences to maximise learning outcomes for students who need adjustments and/or interventions to their learning program as determined by the Individual Difference team. The Education Support Assistant will promote and provide an environment of warmth, trust, respect, and professionalism with students, families and colleagues.
This is a part-time (0.8 FTE hours per week) term time only position to cover a staff member on leave from 17 June 2024 to the end of Term 3, Friday 13 September 2024.
Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.

• Post secondary qualification in special education and experience in classroom Education Support
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive, stimulating and inviting learning environment for students
• Ability to communicate effectively and provide support to families, students and colleagues
• Capacity to operate with discretion, respect and trust
• Knowledge and experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum
