Thrive Group Tasmania is a not-for-profit organisation governed by a volunteer Board. We have been providing education and care for children from birth to 13 years for over 40 years. We offer families a wide range of care options throughout Tasmania including Family Day Care, Early Learning and Care and Outside School Hours Care.

Imagine working with us
Our Education Support Officer will travel around the state to support the educational leaders in Thrive's 25 services (9 early Learning Centres, 14 Outside School Hours Cared Services and 1 Family Day Care Service). Each of our services has Educational Leaders (8 ELC, 2 OSHC, 4 FDC) who see to the day-to-day requirements. You will help to ensure their practices are current and up-skill them in specific areas as needed.
As an experienced Education and Care professional you will also provide support to University, Diploma and Certificate III students who are employed with Thrive while they complete their degrees with outside providers.
In this role, you will inspire a team of passionate educators to continue to grow, learn and apply best practices. You will lead Educational Leaders to maintain a safe, inclusive, nurturing, educational environment for children in their services. With your expertise in the Children’s Services industry and knowledge of the National Quality Frameworks, you will be able to successfully embed high-quality standards and practices to ensure service compliance in all educational areas.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or ACECQA-approved ECT equivalent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in the children’s services industry
Obtain or can obtain a Working with Vulnerable Peoples Check
A current driver’s licence
A current First Aid Certificate or can obtain one.
The ability to travel around Tasmania.
