Administration & Education Support Officer

The Postgraduate Medical Education Council of Tasmania (PMCT) seeks a highly motivated and suitably qualified person to join the PMCT team in Tasmania’s Nort-West region to provide administration and Education Support for the small PMCT team in the north-west.

The Administration & Education Support Officer will, in collaboration with other personnel, provide general administrative duties to the NW PMCT team and provide support for PMCT’s operations across North-West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital including keeping and maintaining PMCT and prevocational doctor records.

Selection Criteria:       

1. Experience as a liaison and/or assistant to professionals. 
2. Experience coordinating events.
3. High level written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work confidently and accurately with time sensitive and confidential data.
4. Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, drive administration functions, including the ability to manage administrative tasks and processes within agreed timeframes. Ability to work unsupervised and self-manage workload.
5. Fast learner with willingness to learn and adapt to changes.
6. Demonstrated high level planning and data management skills and use of contemporary communication, organisational and coordination skills in the provision of administrative support services.
7. Advanced IT skills in the use of current computer packages including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Adobe. Ability to understand and support contemporary video-conferencing process. Ability to troubleshoot IT  / AV issues.
8. Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
9. Ability to commit to working mutually agreed days and hours

Features:

• Part time – 7.6 hours per week 
• Based at North-West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital
• Contract through 31 January 2025 with renewable options
• Flexibility to work 2-3 days per week including Tuesdays. Hours/day negotiable
• Pay scale dependent on qualifications and experience
• Salary package up to $30,000 (grossed up) per year
• Salary package meals/entertainment $5,000 (grossed up) per year plus other salary package opportunities
• Salary range $56,000 - $76,000pa FTE.
