Position Status: CasualThe Faculty of Education and Foundation Studies provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong industry links. The department of Social Inclusion is currently seeking two enthusiastic and motivated individuals to effectively support learners with a disability and diverse learning needs to achieve their study potential through direct support in the classroom, vocational training areas, external venues, and other supportive learning environments.ABOUT YOU
- Certificate IV in Education Support, Disability or Community Services and experience of working with young people who have a disability or diverse needs.
- Knowledge and understanding of working with adolescent learners who have a disability or diverse learning needs.
- Establishing a rapport and engaging with young people who have a disability through an understanding of their environment and diverse learning needs.
- Demonstrated high levels of punctuality and reliability, thoroughness, and accuracy.
- Proven time management and organisational skills including the ability to use initiative and function effectively with limited supervision.
- Well-developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, and customer service skill, with an ability to liaise effectively with learners.
- A current and valid driver’s licence is required.
