The Role
Reporting directly to the Deputy Head of Campus and working closely with Classroom Teachers, the Educational Assistant will work as part of a supportive and collegial team effectively supporting the teaching and learning experiences in the classroom and contributing to our Junior School community.
Commencing Term 3, 2024 part time, this is a 6-month fixed term opportunity based at our Malvern Campus. The successful Educational Assistant will be a valued member of our team, making a real difference by positively impacting the student experience.
Key Duties:
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other assistants in the development and implementation of a student-centred learning program
- Use strategies based on knowledge of students’ physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning
- Maintain daily written documentation on relevant behaviour and learning as required
- Contribute to the Junior School community
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
Skills and Experience:
- Hold a current employment Working With Children Check
- Minimum Certificate III in Educational Support or equivalent
- Experience supporting the differentiation of the curriculum within the Primary environment
- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate is advantageous
- Proficient in the use of digital technology
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team
- Excellent communication skills
