IGS Early Learners is a brand-new purpose build long day care centre and kindergarten service, catering for boys and girls from 6 weeks old to Pre-Prep. Operated by Ipswich Grammar School, the centre opened in January 2024. We provide exceptional care, specialist programs and a nurturing environment that allows children to be supported and fostered in their growth and development.
The role of the Educational Leader is responsible for the development, implementation and reflection of a high-quality program based on service values and philosophy in collaboration with the Director of Early Learning, Lead Educators, Educators and management. This includes training and mentoring staff members regarding the implementation of philosophy and program to ensure compliance of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Law and National Regulations, National Quality Standards and approved learning frameworks. In addition, to build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and staff members to deliver best outcomes for families and children.
The successful candidate will be interested in or hold some experience the Explicit Teaching approach. Full training in adopting the Explicit Teaching approach will be provided to the successful applicant, in addition to ongoing support.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care; or
- Bachelor of Early Childhood.

As a condition of employment, all non-teaching staff are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and are required to maintain their Blue Card for the duration of employment. In addition, hold a current First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Qualification.
