Sustainability – Paddock to Plate – RIE & Risky Play
We are seeking a full-time or part-time qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join us as Educational Leader. This role will assist the Director/ Nominated Supervisor to provide guidance and support educators in line with our current curriculum and School Readiness Programme.
As Educational Leader you will guide and mentor the educators, offer support, and overlook our floor book. You will also have a dedicated day off the floor, where you will provide assistance with programming and planning.

About your skills
- Clear and articulated experience working with children from 0-5 years
- Experience in guiding children’s behaviours
- Excellent knowledge of EYLF and NQS
- Established people and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of preschool readiness programme and educational theories
- Experience in leading educators in guiding children’s behaviours
- Commitment and skill in providing quality and appropriate experiences and inviting learning environments for children
- Demonstrated theoretical and practical knowledge of child development and play
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including documentation skills
- Understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene, and nutritional needs
- Minimum 3 years full-time experience in Early Child Education
- Understanding of Educaring and RIE practices are favourable
- Previous experience as Educational Leader is preferable
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching or other similarly ECT recognised qualification by ACECQA
- WWC check, current first aid, and CPR qualification
- A recently completed a child protection course/refresher

Orchard Early Learning Centre St Ives has an amazing outdoor play area, the centre is spread across two levels, with defined Nursery and Preschool levels, the bright and airy rooms flow directly onto the outdoor learning environments, immersing children in our Paddock to Plate philosophy.
