We are seeking to appoint a casual Early Years Educator (Children’s Services Employee) at Star of the Sea's Long Day Care and Kindergarten based in Cleveland.
We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic educators who are passionate about supporting children in their early years. You love helping them fulfil happiness through growing, development, and are committed to seeing them learn, all while having fun in a comfortable safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the children to create fun recreational and educational experiences that support their well-being.
- Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
- Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
- Participate in professional and personal development.
- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.
- You will be pivotal in developing our children's lifelong love of learning.
- Can build a strong rapport with our families, educators, and community.
- If you are prepared to enrol in your Certificate III or already have a qualification and have a genuine passion for our sector, we would be keen to meet with you.
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Knowledge and understanding of the childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks.
- A passion for the education and care of children aged 6 months -Kindergarten aged in a play-based learning environment.
- Effective workplace communication skills
- A competitive base hourly rate of $24.13 to $30.07 depending on qualifications and experience, plus uniform allowances.
- We close for two weeks at Christmas.
