Our Service - St Cecilia's Long Day Care + Kindergarten
Located in the heritage-listed St Cecilia’s school building, our families enjoy the best of both new facilities and old-world charm. Our high ceilings, French doors and polished timber floors provide a comfortable, home-like space where children feel relaxed and at ease.

We are licenced to provide education and care to a maximum of 49 children. 

We are conveniently located opposite Hamilton State School and have a good partnership with the school where children regularly visit the school exploring the environment and familiarising themselves to ease the transition into primary school. 

About the Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an Early Years Educator (Children’s Services Employee) who has experience working as part of an inclusion support program to join our team at St Cecilia's Long Day Care and Kindy in Hamilton. 

Hourly rate for a part-time certificate III qualified educator is $27.49 or Diploma qualified is $30.07 (negotiable).

• Work with the children to create fun recreational and educational experiences that support their well-being.
• Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.
• Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
• Participate in professional and personal development.
• Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.

  Job Requirements:

• Holds a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or working towards) OR holds an equivalent qualification recognised by ACECQA. 
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• Knowledge and understanding of the childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks.
• A passion for the education and care of children aged 6 months -Kindergarten aged in a play-based learning environment.
• Effective workplace communication skills
