The Centre
Platypus Junction Langwarrin is a 142 place centre nestled into a tree rich pocket of Langwarrin. Our stunning learning spaces are open, airy, and bright. The centre has eight separate, resource-rich rooms set within our nature focused garden of mature trees and natives that feature decked areas, sandpits and playgrounds that are protected with shade and feature dynamic equipment and imaginative play spaces for children to explore. We pride ourselves on our inquiry-based program that empowers all team members to research, create, contribute, and critically reflect on the children’s learning journey, with the children being a primary voice in the process. Our long-established and diverse team celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays annually.
The Opportunity
Working closely with your fellow Educators and Centre Manager, you will enjoy;
Developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the centre community.
Developing and implementing an innovative early learning program reflective of current early years thinking and practice.
Documenting and sharing with families in their children's learning and development.
Actively contributing to the implementation and adoption of the Guardian Curriculum.
Professional learning and development programs, career pathways, and a truly collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
To be considered, you will have:
A completed Certificate III and/or Diploma in Children's Services (or working towards)
Prior experience in long day-care
Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF
Current Working with Children's Check.
