Leanyer OSHC is a vibrant and nurturing out of school hours care (OSHC) program located in Sanderson. We are committed to providing high quality care and engaging experiences for children ages 3-12. We prioritise creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and empowered.
Qualifications & experience
- Preferably Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- Valid Working with Children Card (WWCC)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development
Tasks & responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging and age-appropriate activities and experiences for children in line with our program curriculum and philosophy
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere within the service.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care, implementing appropriate supervision and risk management practices
- Collaborate with coworkers to plan, implement and evaluate educational programs that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- maintain accurate records and documentation, including attendance records, incident reports, and children's developmental observations
- Support children's individual learning and development by providing tailored support and guidance as needed
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives with the service, participating in team meetings, professional development opportunities and reflective practices
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, and guidelines, including but not limited to health and safety protocols, child protection policies, and confidentiality requirements
