We are on the look-out for an EHS Advisor (Business Partner) to join our team based in NSW Metro (Head office is Norwest but we can be flexible with base location) In this role you will be leading and mentoring the Store Teams in relation to Health Safety and Environment legislation, standards and practices to ensure a safe, zero harm and efficient work environment is maintained.
As the EHS Advisor (Business Partner) you will:
- Work with the Store managers and Region Managers in our company owned stores of your allocated portfolio ensuring safety requirments are metin the network
- Provide clear guidance and support for Managers, Supervisors and Employees regarding their responsibilities and accountabilities for safety and support them to achieve and maintain a zero harm culture
- Develop and implement EHS Standards and best practices ensuring risk mitigation practices are integrated successfully
- Perform regular site inspections, EHS System audits and maintain regulatory and compliance schedules and registers, including but not limited to meeting site and legislative training and licence compliances
- Lead injury and incident investigations in a timely manner and ensuring robust and proper reporting and monitoring of completion of any recommended corrective actions
- Develop and deliver EHS specific training programs to site management and employees
- Ideally have knowledge and experience of workers compensation and return to work legislation and to be able to support employee's to return to work quickly and support site leaders with their responsibilities in this area
In order to be considered you will have:
- Tertiary or equivalent qualifications in work health and safety or occupational hygiene and minimum of 3 years in a similar role
- Prior experience in a role engaging with stores environment and people at all levels of teh organisation
- Experience leading Incident investigations
- Prior manufacturing / distribution industry exposure
- Internal Auditor qualifications (ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001) and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (TAE40140) would be ideal but are not essential
