Reporting to the WHSE Manager, this role is responsible to make decisions and implement improvements relating to WHSE matters on projects or site locations as deemed required in conjunction with Senior Management approval where the improvement carries a significant financial component.Where is this position located: This role is based in Kewdale, WAWhat will your typical day look like?

• Promote and ensure the appropriate standards of health, safety and environmental management are adhered to.
• Identify and improve/develop company OHSE policies, systems and programs, whilst monitoring legislative requirements to ensure positive OHSE outcomes are reached for staff, clients and contractors.
• Provide OHSE training and advice to managers and staff on industry best practice.
• Manage accident/incident investigations and prevention initiatives.
• Liaise and represent the company on all OHSE matters with clients, government agencies and the community in general.
• Report on all facets of OHSE as required.
• Participate and represent OHSE in tender preparation and review.

Working Relationships

• Manage OHSE within projects with team members.
• Works close with project management and human resources.
• Work closely with the General Manager WHSE.
• Maintains and fosters relationships with current and potential stakeholders, in particular, clients, service providers, contractors, subcontractors and employees.

What do we want to know about you?

• Minimum Cert IV Workplace Health and Safety.
• Experience and proven track record implementing WHSE for a contractor within heavy industry at project and corporate level.
• Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite in particular Word and Excel.
• Prepared to travel regularly.
• Qualification/significant Experience in Tap root, ICAM, 5 Why Investigation Methods.
• Experience in a Rail Environment.
• Cert IV Training & Assessing.
• Experience managing teams of People.
• Auditing/Lead Auditor qualifications/experience.
• To align with project key performance indicators.
• Implementation of HSE management system requirements.
• Project alignment and conformance with corporate objectives and targets.
