About the roleWhat this job involves This role is to assist the Global Health & Safety Lead with the implementation and maintenance of the EH&S management system, through engagement with the in country facilities managers within the APAC region. Providing high-quality administrative support, focusing on risk assessment, the safety management system, safety audits and inspections and the management of reported incidents and hazards. Ultimately assisting the Health & Safety Manager to ensure we support our employees while conforming to legislation and compliance. A snapshot of the role:
- Assist with the management of incidents, near misses and hazard IDs, including supporting appropriate investigations, chasing follow up actions and developing and encouraging proactive reporting
- Help with the management of the proactive safety processes, including risk assessments, and the planning of safety audits and inspections, and helping develop easy to use forms and templates within our health and safety processes
- Generate safety data and reports for use by the business
- Assist with the administration and upkeep of the document management system to ensure that our advice, corporate policies and procedures are kept current and are readily accessible
- Provide support with safety management training, including inductions and statutory training compliance Sound like you? This is what we’re looking for:
- A diploma / degree in EH&S
- 3-5 years of Regional EH&S experience in APAC with MNC
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken)
- Able to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop a career within EHS across different countries and legal requirements.
- Knowledge and successful career with APAC Regional EH&S work in MNC will be an advantage,
- Proven experience in a similar role
- The ability to influence and engage with all levels of the organization
- An enthusiastic and positive approach to health and safety
- This role can be a mix of office and work from home
- Require to travel, around 6 times per annum within APAC Portfolio
