We are currently seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join our Project Engineering Group.
You will be responsible for the design of project specific products including design, verification, construction and testing. Project designs must be completed in accordance with international standards, industry best practice, and our project design brief comprising of contractual specifications, documentation requirements, and a set time frame and costing.
Duties include but not limited to:
Project specific design tasks including:
- Application Engineering - design systems utilising standard product offerings.
- Integration of field instruments
- Low-Voltage DOL starter design
- Generating supporting documentation for manufacturing
- GA's, Schematics, Panel layouts, Cable schedule and interconnections
- Detail function description, risk assessments, compliance documentation
- Create demand in ERP system, and generate software design briefs
- Completing Factory Acceptance Testing and as required site commissioning
- Preparation of operation, maintenance and installation manuals, and as built documentation
- Travel local and international as per project requirements

- The ability to work under pressure and manage time and priorities effectively
Must Haves:
- A tertiary qualification in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Equivalent Engineering
- A minimum of 5 year engineering work experience preferably in oil and gas, marine or materials handling industries
- An Australian or New Zealand citizen or have a valid visa for working in Australia
The ideal candidate would hold the following knowledge base;
- An understanding of PLC logic
- Hazardous Area design
- Control Systems networking
- Ability to interpret scope definition/specifications/standards/rules and translate into technical/manufacturing documentation and drawings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent 2D package
