Job Description:Wood is currently recruiting for Electrical & Instrumentation Quality Assurance and Quality Control Inspectors for an upcoming opportunity in Queensland.The role of the E&I QA/QC Inspector is to ensure all E&I construction activities meet quality requirements according to drawings, specifications, standards and codes; supported by appropriate testing and inspection records.
Responsibilities:- Work with the E&I Projects Planner to develop E&I workpacks ensuring ITPs and QA documentation is inputted as required prior to construction commencing
- Work with E&I Supervisors to ensure all electrical and instrumentation activities (i.e., installation, loop checks, completions and pre-commissioning of the electric works) are carried out in accordance with drawings, standards and specifications:
- Ensure all checks and testing are completed as per the ITP, providing QC signoffs on hold point steps as required
- Liaise with Hazardous Area Auditor to ensure all construction work has been audited and approved for commissioning
- Provide final inspection of construction work and create a list of outstanding punchlist items if required
- Document non-conformances
- Work with E&I Supervisors to ensure installation drawings have been as built and redline mark ups completed by technicians
- Ensure all QA information is compiled and provide completed workpacks back to the client post construction activities
- Ensure construction activities are supported by appropriate QA documents, revise and create these as required
Qualifications:- In depth knowledge of testing requirements as per AS3000
- In depth knowledge of EEHA Standards
- Cert IV in Instrumentation
- Previous E&I construction experience at supervisory level
