The Role
Ready to take on your next challenge?Yes, then we definitely want to hear from you!We need to fill an EL1 Assistant Director position within our HR and Case team.In this role, you will have a chance to:
  • Manage, lead and coach an established team to deliver business outcomes.
  • Manage workflows and resources, prepare work area and team plans.
  • Develop and implement work plans, sets performance indicators, and reviews individual, team and business performance, focusing on identifying opportunities for building team capability and continuous improvement.
  • Be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex to very complex ICT service provision work within an integrated workforce.
  • Actively develop and manage key stakeholder relationships.
  • Manage incidents, changes and problems focusing on reducing their impact.
  • Exercise sound decision making and judgement to provide expert policy advice.
About our Team
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a key enabler of the One Defence reform agenda. ERP will standardise and integrate critical functions needed to run the Department into a single SAP platform resulting in a major capability uplift for Defence.The Program will simplify and align processes and technology and implement a whole of Defence transformation across Groups and Services.The ERP Support Organisation (ESO) is responsible for the coordination of ERP sustainment services across legacy applications and new S/4 HANA capabilities.ESO adopts the DDG Service Integration and Management (SIAM) framework for end-to-end ICT service integration and deliver integrated governance, operating model, processes and structure in support of the ERP Operating Model.Our Ideal Candidate
We want to hear from you if you have:
  • In-depth knowledge of the ICT service delivery function and have experience with the development, implementation, compliance and review of policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate with influence, build and manage relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  • The ability to set priorities and work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • The ability to analyse and resolve complex to very complex problems using expertise to identify alternative courses of action.
  • In-depth knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements
  • Experience in complex to very complex problem solving issues management and coordination of detailed or sensitive projects that impact on strategic, political or operational outcomes for Defence
