The Role
Under broad direction the role undertaken by an EL1 in Materiel Logistics for Defence include the following:
- Accountable for managing and leading a team, including providing clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility and guiding and developing people.
- Lead, plan and deliver complex to very complex Integrated Product Support (IPS) Program activities and outcomes, across all IPS elements, to agreed priorities and outcomes.
- Identify and apply relevant IPS, technical regulatory framework, and environmental policies and procedures to the management, execution and control of the IPS Program.
- Work collaboratively, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and influence the work of teams to ensure successful delivery of IPS Program activities and outcomes.
- Establish systems and processes to monitor and adjust the IPS Programs’ performance, implement improvement opportunities, and evaluate opportunities to meet Australian Defence industry priorities.
Note: Some interstate/international travel may be applicable These positions may be required to access US export controlled materiel and therefore applicants will be requested to disclose any dual citizenship with another country during the recruitment process. - Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG): CASG exists to meet the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) military equipment and supply requirements. CASG manages a multi-billion dollar portfolio of complex, high-profile acquisitions and sustainment activities supporting armed forces.
- Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Group (GWEO): GWEO’s mission is to deliver an Enterprise with a focus on domestic manufacture, long-range strike and uplifting our war stocks enabling the Australian Defence Force, in competition and conflict.
- Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG): NSSG is responsible for delivering and sustaining Australia’s naval capability – the ships and submarines – for Australia to be able to fight and win at sea. You will be considered as Integrated Product Support (IPS) Manager, Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Manager or Materiel Logistic Program Manager within Materiel Logistics, or a Logistics Manager within Logistics Management.
Note: Preference will be given to candidates across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Perth (in no specific order).
