We are seeking a EL1 AssistantDirector Legal Practice and Capability (Learning and Development) within the Legal Practice and Capability Branch of the NDIA’s Chief and General Counsel Divisions.
The Learning and Development Team play a critical role within the Divisions, ensuring staff are provided with relevant, timely, standardised training; and throughout the NDIA by developing legal training pertinent to other Agency functions.Where you can add valueAs an EL1 Assistant Director, you will contribute to the organisations’ overall goals and objectives by ensuring the Divisions’ training function operates efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for the provision of high-quality training programs and packages.
The role involves work of substantial depth, requiring attention to detail in a high-tempo environment. As an EL1 you will be entrusted with delegated authority and relevant responsibility to make decisions and take actions in order to address the challenges and risks associated with that work.Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Overall carriage of a program or programs of learning and development.
- Managing a team and ensuring deliverables through planning, resource and performance management, and confident and effective decision making.
- Leading a team of APS and LH staff who are geographically dispersed and building them to a high performance standard.
We are seeking a confident and well-rounded EL1 with the knowledge and experience to operate autonomously and collaborate confidently at all levels. Your strong relationship building skills will enable you to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
You will have adult training qualifications (or significant workplace experience) and extensive delivery experience.
