The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join the Finance and Strategy Group, helping the team move forward in a period of transformation. Led by a forward-thinking CFO, they continue to attract a team of high performing problem solvers. The long-term strategy is to continually move towards an enabling environment where manual processes are streamlined, and data is used to drive smart business decisions as well as implementing a new corporate services delivery model which has resulted in a wide range of opportunities including for an Accounts Receivable Officer into a newly established accounts team.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Generate billing and accounts statements, troubleshooting any issues
- Address finance system discrepancies through validation and continuous improvement
- Collect payments from customers promptly, issuing receipts as needed
- Liaise with business, banks, and customers regarding discrepancies or inquiries
- Manage debtor activities and communicate with the wider business for improved Accounts Receivable processes
- Prepare operational reports and derive insights
- Complete month-end tasks including reports, reconciliations, and period close activities
- Maintain customer, pricing, and product finance master data, processing credit notes/refunds and supporting bad debt management
You will be a high performing Accounts Receivable Officer who enjoys busy, dynamic commercial environments. A high level of attention to detail is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are equally important as being able to work within a brand new team, which will be critical to your success in this role. You will also be able to think independently to solve problems and show initiative. Previous experience with Accounts Receivable software, or a large FMIS is highly desirable.
Salary / Rate
The salary band starts at $82,336 + 15% Super.
