The EL 1 Operations Manager is required to provide strategic direction to a diverse service delivery team made up of subject matter experts. The role is an executive leader in the organisation and is required to influence decision makers. The role’s primary focus is guidance and delivery of outcomes associated with enterprise risk and security.Further responsibilities include activities associated with information and quality management, governance and reporting and asset verification. It also oversees the coordination of facilities maintenance, spatial allocation, environmental and workplace health and safety issues affecting the Unit. The EL 1 Operations Manager is an integral part of the unit that drives culture improvements and at times, is required to absorb lateral responsibilities. The role is fast-paced, dynamic and innovative, yet crucially is also responsible for the adherence to the governance and compliance framework underpinning decision-making.About our Team
The Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) at RAAF Base Richmond is a Business Unit within the Airlift and Tanker Systems branch of the Aerospace Systems Division. ALSPO is the in-service support agency responsible for sustaining and enhancing the RAAF’s C-130J Hercules and C-27J Spartan aircraft. ALSPO, in partnership with industry, exists to support Air Mobility Group achieve its mission by providing effective sustainment support solutions.The Business Management Unit within ALSPO is a highly capable and professional team operating in a dynamic and challenging work environment supporting Defence capability.
