The Hybrid Cloud Specialist for Enterprise Computing will provide expert guidance and assistance to the Enterprise Computing Delivery Lead. The Delivery Lead plays a vital role in shaping the department's future computing approach and overseeing related service procurements.The Hybrid Cloud Specialist will collaborate with a team of technical, commercial, and service delivery experts under the guidance of the Delivery Lead.
The ideal candidate should possess a technical understanding of both private and public cloud technologies, hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions using these technologies, and familiarity with contemporary development and service delivery frameworks.
This involves applying expertise in the following areas throughout the program, such as developing market approach requirements, evaluating responses, agreeing on solutions, and implementing contracted outcomes:
- Integrating private and public cloud technologies to provide services to application owners, developers, and end users.
- Delivering Enterprise Computing solutions and services through private and hyper-scale public cloud providers.
- Understanding Cyber Security Essential 8 and its application to Enterprise Computing solutions.
- Utilising modern identity and access management services for Enterprise Computing solutions.
- Applying contemporary development and service delivery frameworks and models, including SIAM, DevSecOps and SAFe.
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Computing engineer or solution architect in private and/or public cloud technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing solutions using hyper-scale public cloud providers.
- Experience in implementing ICT outsourcing arrangements, including requirements development, tender evaluation, contract negotiation, and service implementation.
- Track record of implementing Enterprise Computing services within the Government.
- Previous experience in addressing complex issues and finding resolutions.
- Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams, identifying gaps in strategy, delivery, and capability, and resolving complex issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information to stakeholders, executives, and technical staff.
- Ability to work under pressure with meticulous attention to detail, including planning, coordinating, and tracking various activities within agreed timelines.
Must be in the Canberra office a minimum of 3 days a week.
