Our client, an independent statutory Government agency, is seeking a senior actuary to join their team working in the disability sector. This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Geelong, or Canberra.
About the role
- Apply actuarial and insurance-based techniques to cost projections.
- Satisfy ad hoc requests for modelling and potential interpretations of legislation as required.
- Develop and update the actuarial valuation model and associated monitoring and management reports.
- Evaluate and analyse policy decisions.
- Provide statistical and actuarial advice to senior management and stakeholders.
- Perform reporting, analysis and data management activities as required.
- Provide insights into organisational priorities, highlighting actionable insights based on statistical results.
- Must be an Australian citizen.
- Associate or Fellow of the Actuaries Institute of Australia or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in actuarial roles.
- Track record of leading and managing teams.
