This position is tasked with providing leadership, governance, planning, resource management, performance management, and decision-making for both team members and assigned contractors within the designated work area. The position will apply a significant understanding of the functions to provide high level of advice to senior management, Executive Leadership Team and the NDIA Board.
The role is instrumental in shaping and advancing strategy, policies, priorities, and operational practices, all aimed at achieving the NDIAs goal of establishing a world-class National Disability Insurance Scheme.Where you can add value The suitable candidate for this position can expect every day to be exciting and challenge driven. - Providing oversight, management and responsibility for deliverables of project-based work and regular reporting, managing stakeholders as the responsible director of the project.
- Producing and communicating detailed technical, professional and policy advice in relation for complex problems to internal or external stakeholders.
- Researching and implementing innovative techniques and inter-disciplinary methods that solve business issues.
- Utilising advanced technical skills and experience for designing actuarial, statistical and mathematical models, with direction and coaching for junior staff undertaking analytical work.
- Building capability of the team through coaching others, providing performance feedback, knowledge sharing and encouraging career development.
- Working across teams, building strong relationships within the ADA and other stakeholders within the NDIS.
- Contributing vital input towards innovation and business improvement strategies and discussions on the team and divisions strategic goals.
- Supporting the division in fulfilling statutory requirements of the NDIS Act 2013 including the provision of data and analysis for reporting to the Board, Minister and for the purpose of public data sharing.
- Experienced leadership skills to inspire and guide a team.

qualifications including tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies or Mathematics/Statistics, progressing
