As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.
A new role awaits
The Economics and Pricing Branch is seeking to fill several Director roles across its Economics and Insights, Pricing Data and Reporting, and Pricing Implementation and Engagement teams.
The Economics and Pricing Branch within the Analytics Data and Actuarial Division is responsible for the NDIA’s market stewardship to create an efficient and sustainable consumer driven marketplace for disability supports. It regulates the commercial relationships between providers and participants, including through price regulation. Additionally, they are responsible for leading the Annual Pricing Review to assess whether the price control framework and other market settings are still appropriate. The branch has extensive engagement with participants, providers, community and government stakeholders.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be leading and developing a team, taking pride in ensuring your team is fully engaged in effectively and efficiently providing a high-level work standard.
Additional duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing leadership to the development and implementation of initiatives relating to technical pricing policy or pricing IT related matters.
  • Leading team projects, managing the production and public release by the team. Assisting with the design of qualitative research studies and analysis of the information collected.
  • Providing statistical, analytical and/or economic advice to senior management and NDIA stakeholders, including insights and recommendations aligned to the Agency’s corporate priorities.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
Our ideal candidates will be highly collaborative and influential communicators, who can build trust and meaningful relationships across the organisation. They will demonstrate a forward-thinking approach, with the ability to develop, manage and continually improve processes and their team’s capabilities. While not a requirement, experience or background in Economics would be highly regarded, as well as previous experience leading and mentoring teams. Most importantly, you act with integrity and show care for the people you work with.
Your NDIA Experience
We work as one team. We are accepting, diverse and driven. We take a shared approach to making progress. We welcome and support each other and encourage different ideas, insights and opinions.
