About the Team:
The Home and Living Division within the Providers, Partners and Home and Living Group is responsible for setting the strategic direction for Home and Living, and for actively stewarding and shaping the Home and Living market for both capital and non-capital supports.
The Home and Living Capital Branch in the Home and Living Division sets the strategic direction, develops long-term plans, and implements strategies in the Home and Living capital market (Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Medium-term Accommodation (MTA) and Home Modifications (HM)).
About the role:
The EL2 Director SDA Reform will exercise a significant degree of independence and will use a high-level of decision-making and judgement. You will be required to coordinate and assume responsibility for highly complex or sensitive projects and work program outcomes across the functions that have strategic or operational significance to the Agency. Additionally, you will be responsible for initiating, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Where required, you will represent and negotiate on behalf of the Agency to advance the Agency's interests in cross-agency, inter-jurisdictional and other forums.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Designing, developing and implementing reform strategies that deliver on Government priorities for SDA and achieve specific agency objectives for Home and Living.
• Engaging with state and territory governments to influence their design of innovative housing models, addressing ageing and legacy SDA stock.
• Designing and facilitating consultation with external stakeholders, including the SDA market.
• Using quantitative and qualitative data, including input from technical experts, to build evidence informed recommendations on reform.
• Applying and maintaining extensive understanding of the role and responsibilities of the agency, incorporating a comprehensive understanding of the Agency's impact on the wider political and community context in which it operates.
• Leading development and implementation of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency's project management framework along with proactive issues and risk management.
• Providing expert advice to internal and external stakeholders on SDA reforms.

Mandatory:

• Experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations.
• Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one.
• Significant experience in a Government, community services and/or housing context
• Knowledge of and experience with SDA property and accommodation
• Ability to synthesize and distil complex and high-level data from a range of sources
