Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.

We are currently seeking talented candidates to fill executive support roles at the EL2 level.
The EL2 Executive Officer works closely with our Deputy CEOs, to provide expert support, project management and strategic advice. This role is at the forefront of supporting our Executive Support Team to meet NDIA objectives.
We are currently looking to fill two EL2 Executive Officer roles across various locations.
Where you can add value You will play a key role in supporting effective engagement across the agency, whilst having the opportunity to develop and apply a broad range of skills. Responsibilities of the role may include but are not limited to:
  • Directing enquiries and requests to appropriate areas and providing advice to SLT on responses.
  • Supporting the SLT by coordinating input into reports and projects, ensuring collaboration and timely delivery.
  • Drafting papers for internal governance committees, the CEO, Minister, the Board and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee SLT executive budget, procurements and recruitment.

We are looking for individuals who will be organised, proactive, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment with a high attention to detail. You will have excellent communication and analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and a passion for delivering high-quality work. Demonstrated experience in initiating, establishing and maintaining productive relationships as well as the ability to present and negotiate with influence at all levels is pivotal for the role.

While the role is ideally performed from Newcastle - NSW, Geelong - VIC or Richmond - VIC, other locations and remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill the role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
