The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.

We are currently seeking talented candidates for the positions to fill executive support roles at the EL2 level.
The EL2 Executive Officer works closely with our Deputy CEOs, to provide expert support, project management and strategic advice. This role is at the forefront of supporting our Executive Support Team to meet NDIA objectives.
The EL2 Director Board Secretariat will work closely with an NDIA board member providing support and advice to resolve issues, and manage risks across a wide range of activities.
We are currently looking to fill 2 x EL2 Executive Officer role across Geelong and/or Richmond and 1 x EL2 Director Board Secretariat role based in Newcastle.

EL2 Executive Officer You will play a key role in supporting effective engagement with and contribution to the NDIS Review by the NDIA, whilst having the opportunity to develop and apply a broad range of skills. Responsibilities of the role may include but are not limited to:
Directing enquiries and requests to appropriate areas and providing advice to ELT on responses.
Supporting the ELT by coordinating input into reports and projects, ensuring collaboration and timely delivery.
Drafting papers for internal governance committees, the CEO, Minister, the Board and other stakeholders.
Oversee ELT executive budget, procurements and recruitment.
EL2 Director Board Secretariat You will be responsible for planning, leading, managing and implementing the secretariat functions for the Board including managing the Board’s workplan and supporting the Board to meet its statutory requirements. Responsibilities of the role may include but are not limited to:
Managing the logistical and secretariat arrangements for Board meetings, including travel of Board members, ensuring that venues are accessible.
Coordinating papers and other briefing material for the Board, ensuring that quality, accessibility and useability standards are met.
Managing the development and maintenance of high-quality records, including minutes, committee charters, registers of interest, decision registers and action registers.
Liaising with the internal and external stakeholders to deliver Board statutory obligations and requirements.

You will have excellent communication and analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and a passion for delivering high-quality work. you will have a high attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated experience in initiating, establishing and maintaining productive relationships as well as the ability to present and negotiate with influence at all levels is pivotal for the role of EL2 Director Board Secretariat.

While both roles are ideally performed from Newcastle - NSW, Geelong - VIC or Richmond - VIC, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill these roles in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
