About the Role:
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing electrical control systems for our industry-leading Climate Wizard and Aira products. You will be responsible for the entire process, from specifying and designing control panels to ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements and deliver exceptional performance.
The role requires working both in office and factory environments with occasional intra and interstate travel.
This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement control panels for new and existing commercial HVAC products.
- Define and document specifications for control panels.
- Liaise with vendors and ensure products meet safety and regulatory requirements (AS/NZS, UL standards).
- Perform electrical calculations, generate schematics and other engineering documentation.
- Manage and support production issues related to control panels.
- Manage and resolve electrical-related warranty and field failure issues.
- Support Sales and Marketing teams with technical data.
- Maintain accurate and timely design records.
- Contribute to a safe working environment.
Who you are:
- Electrical trade qualification (Certificate III) and a current Electrical License.
- Proven experience in PLC/SCADA system design and development.
- Experience with instrumentation and control installation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with electrical panel wiring in a production environment.
- Knowledge of industrial communications, network design (Modbus, BACnet).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented with a strong ability to plan and meet deadlines.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
