AddressAn experienced Electrical Engineer is sought for a challenging and rewarding Senior or Associate role with a prestigious national engineering consultancy. The successful candidate will work on iconic Water Infrastructure projects that drive sustainable outcomes for communities.In this position, the Electrical Engineer's key responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver complex project goals
- Liaising with stakeholders including clients and vendors
- Producing high-quality technical documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
- Conducting field and desktop investigations on existing electrical infrastructure
- Preparing detailed specifications for electrical components to support procurement
- Applying technical and commercial expertise to ensure successful project outcomes
- Actively shaping the industry through committees, publications, and industry bodies
- Demonstrating specialist electrical safety knowledge (protection, arc flash, earthing, hazardous areas, machine safety)
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
- RPEQ certification (advantageous)
- Experience in an engineering consultancy, contractor, or asset owner role
- Water industry experience (preferred)
- Proven expertise in developing standards, conceptual and detailed design, and design management of electrical infrastructure, particularly in the water utility sector
- Design background in PTW design, LV and ELV electrical systems, PLC/telemetry, and Instrumentation and Control
- Emerging project management experience
- Ability to contribute to proposals and pursuits
- Excellent client consultation and communication skills (written and verbal)
