Our Golden Grove mine is located just a short 1-hour flight from Perth or Geraldton. With a 10-year mine life, our high-grade resource is supported by modern infrastructure providing a platform for future growth.
We are currently seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our Golden Grove team and be responsible for maintaining the Golden Grove fixed plant operations including village infrastructure, and a great opportunity to join a friendly and experienced team. This is a permanent position, offered on 14 days on, 14 days off, 14 nights on, 14 nights off FIFO from either Perth or Geraldton.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensure all aspects of electrical work are compliant with Australian Standards AS3000, and Western Australian Electrical Regulations and Mines Safety and Inspection Act (WA);
- Ensure all work performed is to the best standard in a timely manner, to ensure optimum plant availability and performance;
- Remove or report hazards and report all incidents;
- Provide and maintain adequate tools and test equipment;
- Maintain vehicles, tools and equipment in a clean, safe and serviceable condition at all times;
- Ensure accurate completion of time sheets, related documentation, record keeping and Electrical Logbook Entries;
- Regularly inspect the existing surface electrical installation to ensure it meets statutory and site requirements;
- Be conversant with the Pronto site maintenance system, and work management practices; and
- Willingness to work Underground if required.
- Current WA Electrician's ‘A’ grade Licence;
- Dual trade Electrical/Instrumentation technician;
- High Voltage Switching Certificate;
- Fixed plant maintenance experience;
- Reading and interpreting schematics;
- High risk licence EWP, Forklift (Preferable);
- Working at heights (Preferable); and
- Experience in the mining industry (Preferable).
Candidates will be required to meet our pre-employment criteria which includes a medical, drug and alcohol screening, hold a valid manual driver’s licence and a valid National Police Clearance.
