Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician in the Hydrogen Sector. The Technician will be responsible for performing day-to-day tasks related to motor control, process control, troubleshooting, instrumentation, and calibration. The role requires working on-site in Perth, WA.
Specific tasks to be completed in the role
• Installation, configuration, commissioning of new circuits, equipment and Instrumentation & control subsystems.
• Respond promptly to site emergencies, Electrical and Instrumentation emergencies, diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions to restore functionality.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure proper integration of new systems into existing infrastructure.
• Conduct Hazardous area inspections, visual and detailed on Electrical and Instrumentation systems to identify and rectify potential hazards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in Electrical and Instrumentation systems to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Being proactive during unexpected downtime of plant activities.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum 3 years in a Process environment
• Certificate III in Engineering - Electrical Fitter Mechanic
• Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation and Control
• WA Electrical Licence
• LVR/CPR (HLTAID009/UETDRRF004) and First Aid Training (HLTAID011)
• Certificate IV in EEHA Inspection and Maintenance
• White Card
• Ability to think on your feet, step up when required and be a team player.
• Proven safe work practices/commitment to safety.
• Willingness and able to work rosters.
• Ability to work without Supervision.
• Confine Small Workplace Emergencies (PUAWER008B)
Week 1: 6am-6pm
Week 2: 4pm-12am (12 noon -12 midnight on weekends)
Week 3: R&R
Week 4: 6pm-6am
Week 5: 12am-8am (12 midnight - 12 noon on weekends)
Week 6: R&R
