About The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Maintenance team based at Chandala site in Muchea, WA (50km north of Perth).
The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician is responsible for supporting the plants upkeep and maintenance.
Family Friendly Roster – 4 days on/ 5 days off/ 5 days on/ 4 days off – day shift initially until transition to D/N shift
The position is offered on permanent basis, completing shift coverage of the plant once trained and confident. Main duties include:
- Maintenance and fault finding on Electrical, Instrumentation and Honeywell DCS systems
- Fixed Plant inspections and maintenance
- Assist in operational tasks to minimise plant downtime, including preparing and isolating equipment
- Complete work orders and appropriate reporting to a high standard to ensure accurate and detailed information is entered into Tronox’s Systems
- Statutory testing and inspections including log book entry
- Assist other trades as required
- Day/Night shift coverage as required
- High voltage switching and isolations
- Instrumentation calibration and installation
About you
To be successful in your application you will ideally need to possess:
- Electrical Trade Certificate (essential)
- Cert IV instrumentation (essential)
- HV switching certification (desirable)
- High risk licence; forklift, working at heights, confined space
- Hazardous area certification (desirable)
- Experience with gas appliances (desirable)
- Fixed Plant experience and the ability to interpret engineering drawings (desirable)
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
