AddressThe UGL heavy maintenance facility based in Bassendean are currently seeking an experienced Motor / Armature Winder to join the team. This will be a permanent full time opportunity, under the Bassendean Enterprise Agreement
About the role
- Workshop housekeeping tasks, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
- AC & DC traction motor overhauls, rewinds and repairs.
- Generator overhauls, rewinds and repairs.
- Armature and rotor static electrical and mechanical inspections.
- Armature and rotor requalification
- Commutator removal and installation
- Armature core restacking
- Shaft replacement
- Static and dynamic balancing of electrical equipment
- Ensure active involvement in Lean practices
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safety environment
About You
- Relevant Trade Qualification as Electrical Fitter; Electrical Machine Repair or equivalent
- Experience with HV motors and vibration analysis will be highly regarded.
- Experience in overhaul, repair and rewind of AC & DC motors.
- Experience in overhaul, repair and rewind of generators and / or other rotating equipment.
- Previous experience as Armature Winder is highly desirable
- High level of measuring skills and eye for detail and quality standards
- Strong communication skills. Both oral and written
