About the Role:
WorkPac are currently seeking an Electrical and Communications Package Lead to join our Client, Rio Tinto based in Perth. In this role you will be responsible for leading the design for various Communications, HV and LV Electrical works as part of a larger brownfield expansion project.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Work within a brownfields project delivery team, which includes the Project Lead, Package leads, Designers, Engineers, Planners, Cost Analysts, Construction Advisors, Construction Contractors, Safety Advisors, Quality Advisors and more.
Lead design for various Communications, HV and LV Electrical works.
Lead interactions between designers and stakeholder groups such as operational readiness, technical assurance, mine planning and site operations.
Review work completed by designers to verify against Company standards, project objectives and stakeholder requirements.
Support the Project Lead with scope development and control, tender package development and review, estimate development and schedule development.
Lead preparations for site works by construction contractors using the teamâs risk, safety tools and systems to support safe delivery of the work.
Oversee construction works to ensure compliance to Company and applicable standards and quality requirements.
Skills and Experience Required:
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
Extensive experience working on Electrical & Communications projects in a mining environment.
High level stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
High level of experience working closely with designers and construction contactors.
Demonstrated complex problem-solving abilities to deliver solutions across a construction project lifecycle.
