Ultimate Solar Solutions is looking for a full-time Electrical Engineer working across Sydney from Monday to Friday. The annual wage will be $110,000 plus 11% superannuation.
As our Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for applying professional and technical knowledge to Design, develop and supervise the manufacture, installation, operation and maintenance of equipment and systems for the generation, distribution, utilisation and control of electric power in relations to our Electrical solar projects and installations.
Your main duties include but not subject to;
- Determining the type and arrangement of circuits, transformers, circuit-breakers, transmission lines and other equipment.
- Interpreting specifications, drawings, standards and regulations relating to electric power equipment and use.
- Design of solar grid connection applications
- Organising and managing resources used in the supply of electrical components, machines, appliances and equipment.
- Planning and designing power stations and power generation equipment.
- Establishing delivery and installation schedules for switchgear, cables and fittings.
- Overseeing the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Designing and optimizing solar PV systems, ensuring efficient energy production and cost-effectiveness.
- Troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing solutions to maximize system performance.
- Design of DC electrical systems, including PV module string design, DC cable selection, inverter DC input analysis and selection of protection devices
- Design of AC electrical systems, including voltage drop/rise calculations, AC cable selection and protection devices
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the solar energy sector.
- Generate Bill of Materials
- Communication with project management team, electricians, and external engineering consultants
- Complete site-surveys to verify electrical infrastructure and installation plans
