We have a full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced HV Electrical Engineer based the Sydney, CBD office. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be accountable for providing expert advice and guidance to the Project Managers and engineering consultants across a range of engineering and design issues throughout development life cycle of the new intermodal terminal developments.
You will:
- Lead technical activities relating to primary design of high voltage substations and distribution networks including Primary design of HV substations and other related infrastructure.
- Provide expert guidance on renewable energy integration.
- Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality technical advice to clients.
- Provide engineering technical guidance to Project Managers and external consultants to ensure consistency across all developments.
- Interface with Electrical Authorities and clearly identify risks to the projects.
- Develop project specific technical requirements and scopes of work.
- Provide engineering technical guidance to Project Managers and external consultants to ensure consistency across all developments.
- Review design submission from suppliers and contractors and provide technical comments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering recognized by Engineers Australia.
- Demonstrated expertise in power system engineering as well as renewable energy i.e. Solar farm / Windfarm connection substation experience.
- Primary design of HV/EHV substation design experience (132kV-500kV).
- Proven experience in major infrastructure projects.
- Have a sound understanding of interfacing with rail networks.
- Excellent construction, testing, and commissioning skills.
