Responsibilities:
- Create detailed electrical designs, covering switchgear, LV switchboards, UPS systems, and more.
- Develop design drawings, including schematics and general arrangements, as well as ITPs, MTOs, datasheets, and specifications.
- Model power systems, evaluate electrical systems, and coordinate protection settings.
- Review vendor documents, check interfaces with existing infrastructure, and contribute to project reviews and safety workshops.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure high-quality engineering design and documentation.
- Assist in preparing project budgets, estimates, forecasts, schedules, and reports.
- Communicate regularly with your supervisor and the electrical team to ensure project milestones are met.
- Conduct self-checks on deliverables, ensuring compliance with company processes and clear design interfaces.
Requirements:
- Hold an Australian-recognized Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline.
- Bring experience as a professional engineer in oil and gas, mining or related industries, with a focus on detailed electrical design.
- Understand brownfield interfacing, electrical calculations, and equipment sizing.
- Have expertise in HV & LV systems, arc flash hazard assessment, protection coordination, and system studies.
- Excel in verbal and written communication to convey information to individuals and groups.
